What’s a ring sling?

A ring sling may be the simplest piece babywearing equipment. It’s approximately 1.7 to 2 meters long, with two rings sewn into it at one end. These rings allow you to use the sling easily and comfortably. By leading the other end of the sling through the rings, we create a pouch in which we can carry our child safely in a vertical position.
When purchasing a ring sling you should pay attention to the quality of the fabric – and the quality of the rings, too. The Babywearing rings we use in our ring slings are carefully tested, and made without toxic chemicals. They can safely hold 86 kgs, so their tensile strength is huge. They are join-free, premium quality aluminum rings made especially for babywearing products, which ensures that you can feel secure while wearing your baby.Ring slings are mostly used to front and hip carry, but back carry is also possible. They can be used from the moment of birth until the end of the babywearing period, it’s easy to use and easy to care for.Using a ring sling with a newborn has the advantage that it’s easy to learn how to use, and mothers can easily and discreetly breastfeed their baby.For toddlers, ring slings are practical because the exploring-falling-getting-up kids often get tired: they want to rest in their caregiver’s arms, and go back to exploring again soon. First, when you receive the wrap, it might be stiff and slippery due to the finish of the weave. Please wash it before wearing it for the first time, as washing and steam ironing will work wonders on your wrap. After a few wrapping occasions it becomes soft and the slippery feeling goes. Our wraps might seem thin to the touch, but don’t be mistaken: they are strong and supportive thanks to the density of the weave.
Pictures do not reflect the real colours and the sheen visible in sunshine. Both sides can be used and they both look pretty when tied
It is a 100% cotton woven product. Some pilling might occur on parts of the wrap which are used more often. This is a natural characteristic of the fabric. Occasionally, small yarn nubs and slubs might occur on wraps. These defects happen during the weaving process. They are usually not visible and do not influence the quality of the wrapping.
All wraps are made of Oeko-Tex Standard 200 and GOTS certified materials (including dyeing and weaving).

It is perhaps one of the most beautiful pieces of Hungarian folk music, and many versions of it have survived. It’s one of the first songs Hungarian children learn in kindergarten.

Hungarian folk songs are typically diverse, yet almost all share a certain viewpoint from which the world is seen in its unity. The words touch the most fundamental human feelings, and through the lyrics a world that has already faded comes to life, the life of old-time peasants. “Spring Wind Floods Water” is no exception, and water, the fountain of every life, is the metaphor for love.
